The colors for the Unidos da Tijuca are just one of the things that allow
this excellent school to stand out with pride and distinction. They chose
the vibrant matching colors of blue and gold to represent them and to bring
honor and beauty to the flag representing them and to the school as a whole.
The Unidos da Tijuca is proud of the simplicity and culture that surrounds them and lends honor and honesty to their samba dances. This is one of the main reasons that the Unidos da Tijuca School represents all blends of culture, areas, and populations of Brazilian people from Rio de Janeiro in both their dances and their photographs.
One of the most interesting facts about the Unidos da Tijuca is that they are the only samba school that is a representative for a Portuguese Colony, that being the Carioca Carnival.
The Unidos da Tijuca donates its time year round to the betterment of their area. The samba dancer's work hard to perfect their stories and dance moves to bring honor to the Carnival, but when they are not working on their dance moves they are working in the community and with the community to form a higher level of respect and culture for everyone around them.
The Unidos da Tijuca is a school for samba dancers that are completely one
of a kind. There is no school like this of its kind. Offering complete inclusion
this samba school does not look at color, nationality, creed, or religion.
They do not look at whether you are Brazilian or Portuguese. It is the first
school of its kind to gather culture lovers together to do what they do best
without looking at anything else other than their love for samba.
